Sentinel Comics: The Roleplaying Game

Hello, everyone.

Times are tense, but progress is still happening. We were still on the schedule we laid out before, but we've hit a wrinkle: the factories the book will be printed in are closed. So, even if it were 100% done today, it would go nowhere. As a result, I'm taking a bit of extra time to comb through, double-check all the text, beef up some examples, and Adam is touching up a pile of arts. As soon as the factories are up and running again, we'll send them files and I'll let you know.

So, we'll have the PDF version of the SCRPG Core Rulebook available later in April or early in May, at the very latest. I'm betting this month, but it depends on how long it takes to go through and make all the links in the PDF work properly. 

Everyone working on getting this book across the finish line is working remotely, so we're in frequent communication online, but not in the same place anymore. We hope you're all also staying safe and healthy in these times. You'll hear from me again soon, either later this month when I release the PDF of the core rulebook, or in May's update. And, like I said above, I have high hopes that we'll all have that PDF this month.

Hey, folks!

Just dropping by to let you know that we're still solidly on the schedule listed in last update. We've got the final text and layout polishes happening right now on Chapter 7, and we're very pleased about how well things are going! Just gotta keep moving.

Oh, I did want to share some images we got from the factory of the dice sets! 

OK, so, the dice aren't correct - those are just placeholders, but you can see the packaging, at least! They're making the dice now. That's right, our factories are up and running, so that's good news!

That's more like what the dice will look like, for reference.

Anyway! Back to work! I hope to have some Final_final_1_(1)_new type files to share with you soon!

The schedule going forward!

Hey, friends!

The SCRPG core rulebook is coming along nicely - we've really enjoyed sharing the chapters with you up to this point, and we're looking forward to sharing even more with you over the course of this month! No files in this update, so that it's available to everyone, but there will be more Backer Only updates later this month with files for you!

This update, however, is about the schedule. As promised last month, we want to give you a concrete timeline on how the rest of this process will go for the core game.

There are four major sections of how the rest of this process is going to go, which I will now name and also give a timetable for:

• Finish up the writing and art: now through early March
• Finalize book layout, editing, and review: early March through early April
• Book printing: April to mid-May
• Shipping the books from the printer to GTG: mid-May to late June
• Shipping the books from us to you: July

Not bad! The writing and art is certainly into the 11th hour, as you've seen with all the chapter content we've already shared with you. The layout and editing has been happening as chapters are completed, so we only have a few steps plus final review to go there. The printer has been looped in on this process the entire time, so we're able to get things up and running quickly there once we send them files. And then the two sets of shipping - from them to us, and then from us to you - are the most straight-forward part of this process, comparatively. We're setup here to get the books sent your way in a month's time once we have them, so we're feeling pretty good about this timeline!

As for non core rulebook stuff, everything that's scheduled to be released alongside the core rulebook is either already at the factory (like the coloring book and the GM Kit) or about to be (like the Dice Sets and the preview adventure).  So those should slot right into the above timeline!
