More content coming very soon!
about 5 years ago – Tue, Nov 05, 2019 at 11:52:38 PM

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to November!

Just a quick update today to let you know that there's new stuff coming soon! In two weeks, on Tuesday, November 19th, I'll be posting a backer-only update with a PDF of Chapter 4 for all of you! Then, in December, I'll be posting Chapter 5! Things are moving right along here!

A couple weeks ago, lead designer Dave Chalker went to BigBadCon, and he ran a bunch of content from the core rulebook! The games went well, and the player reaction was great, so we have even more positive feedback as we finish up all of these chapters. And! Dave is already working with a team of creators (myself included) on the next books in the series that you already funded!

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that things are going well, and that I'll have another hefty chapter for you to peruse very soon!

Keep up the heroism, Sentinels! Go vote!

Moving right along!

Good morning, Sentinels!

Things are going well here at the GTG HQ. Paul and Adam and I just got back from PAX West, where we were mostly there to do meetings but still got to see a lot of awesome folks.

I wanted to give you status updates about what things we're specifically working on right now.

  • Jenn and her awesome team of graphic designers (notably Sarah in this specific case) are finishing up chapters 2 and 3 - we got a TON of great feedback from all of you and are working to incorporate changes throughout those chapters to clean stuff up and make everything more clear. Thanks for the notes, everyone! The graphic design/layout team is also preliminarily finishing up chapter 4 and chapter 6.
  • Jenn is also already working with the factory on the GM Kit and Dice Set, doing pre-press on all the printed material and nailing down the materials and packaging. With the production schedule of those going so well, we will definitely be able to ship the GM Kits and the Dice Sets alongside the core rulebook itself! We're pretty excited about that.
  • Adam is doing So Much Art! He's right now working on a lot of illustrations for chapter 4.
  • There are a bunch of other artists also working on various illustrations for stuff throughout the book. They're doing fantastic work, and I'm excited for you to get to see it! Actually, yeah, I'll put some at the end of this update. Good idea!
  • I am working on a few different places - finishing a major gameplay example to get added to chapter 2, doing edits on chapters 4, 5, and 6, and writing a lot of stuff for chapter 7.

Meanwhile, Dave and the Critical Hits team (as well as a dedicated group of really awesome freelancers) are working on the upcoming books, other than the core rulebook! Our goal is to NOT have more than a year between the core rulebook and any of the other products, so we're trying to work in parallel as much as possible. Also, Darren Watts and Christopher McGlothlin are chugging away on the History of Sentinel Comics book, which is turning out to be quite the mighty tome indeed!

Speaking of art, here are some cool ones, including an art from Adam, and arts from a few of the talented freelance artists we're working with!

A gameplay example from Chapter 2 with art by Adam Rebottaro
Art of the new hero Headlong, by Ben Wilsonham
Art of the hero now known as Time-Slinger, by Gene Shaw
Art of the villain Kismet, by Valerio Buonfantino

Everything is looking so good! It's been great having so many artists working together to bring this game to life.

I look forward to sharing more with you all soon!
