It's a new year! But no new news!

Hey, folks!

Like the headline says, no big news right now. Still waiting on the Guise Book printing process, as their facility got hit pretty hard by Covid, and our own warehouse is running at bare minimum capacity right now due to Covid exposures at the end of the year. We're doing all the cleaning, isolating, and following of procedures that we can to keep everyone safe, as that's what is most important right now. But we're still working on a lot of exciting Sentinels stuff and will get things sent to you ASAP!

Printing update and business update

Hey, everyone!

Printing Stuff

We've gotten some disappointing news from the book printer in the last week or two. We were asking about when we might expect to receive the Guise Book, as we'd hoped to have it in hand by this time, considering the printing turnaround time on other things, like the Core Rulebook. The response was not what we wanted to hear. Copied directly from the e-mail:

Welp. Of course Guise's book is having additional delays. So, uh, I guess we'll get the Guise Book to you early next year? In that time, we're still working on other books, like the History of Sentinel Comics, the assortment of monster adventures, and more! We'll update you as we learn more about the fate of our ridiculous purple friend.

Business Stuff

In other news, Greater Than Games is now part of Flat River Group! I wrote about it on the GTG website. What does that mean for you? Not much, probably! We're still making great games and absolutely committed to getting all of this SCRPG stuff to you as soon as it's ready (and successfully navigates the printing process...).  If you have specific questions about it, join me and Paul on our Q&A Livestream this Thursday at 2 PM Central!

Guise Book for you!

Hey, friends!

The Guise Book printing is still going well. We anticipate getting shipping info from the printer in the next couple weeks. However! We've already sent out The Guise Book to all of you! OK, OK, that was an intentionally misleading sentence. I apologize. What I meant was that we sent the PDF of The Guise Book out, which we did last week! If you ordered The Guise Book you should have gotten an e-mail from DriveThruRPG about PDF downloads. (I know that hundreds of you already did, based on some excited feedback I've seen in the last few days.)

If you didn't see the DriveThruRPG e-mail, be sure to check your spam folders, as it is an automated e-mail and some e-mail services get grumpy about that kind of thing.

Also, The PDF is uploaded to BackerKit, like we did with the Core Rulebook PDFs!

If you didn't order The Guise Book and are regretting that now, fear not! Once the physical books are delivered to all the backers who did order them, we'll be putting the physical book and PDF up for sale on our webstore and other marketplaces, such as DriveThruRPG for the PDF, and your friendly local gaming store for the physical books, as well as other online retailers. If you have a different preferred method of getting your RPG content, let us know!

Guise is done! What's next?

Good afternoon, everyone!

The Guise Book is in the process of being printed right now! Giving the turnaround times on book printing, we are feeling pretty confident about having the book shipped out to everyone before the end of the year. And we'll have the PDF format of the book for you very soon — ideally before next month's update, even!

So, that's great! What happens next?

For us, the next two books we're working on are the "monster adventures" books (involving the Diamond Book of Monsters adventures and the xxtz'Hulissh adventures), as well as the History of Sentinel Comics book! We're spinning up editing and production on this History book first, as it's a LOT more text and going to take both editorial and continuity passes to get right. Once that's under way, we'll be working on putting together the great work from the authors of those spooooky monster adventures and making all those issues into one big, scary book! They're not happening exactly at the same time, but more in parallel than we usually make books. Normally, we can't do multiple books simultaneously like that, just due to how many hours of graphic design/layout/editing/etc there are in a given week, but these two products are different enough that we have some wiggle room there.

So! Certainly lots to look forward to there! We'll have word on how those processes are going next month, as well as hopefully good news about the physical state of the Guise book! Talk to you then!

Guise Book Printing!

Hey, fam!

The Guise Book is on its way to the printer this week! If you've been following the international shipping crisis news, you know that a lot of tabletop game products are massively delayed right now by a concerning lack of cargo containers and container ships. However, there is good news for this campaign, at least! While board and card games pretty much have to be printed overseas, the book printing facilities we use for Sentinel Comics RPG stuff is all here in the USA! So, with the Guise Book heading to the printer now, we have a reasonable expectation to have it in our hands — and subsequently, your hands — by the end of this year! Fingers crossed!

Stay safe and healthy, everyone. We're all looking forward to being back in person with our gaming groups and conventions and more! And we've got a lot more SCRPG content in the works for you as well, so stay tuned!
